Marquette Knocks off Boston College, Sets Date with Arkansas for Shell Division Title
The Marquette University women’s basketball team defeated Boston College 73-65 in the semifinals of the Fort Myers Tip-Off on Friday night. The Golden Eagles face Arkansas in the Fort Myers Tip-Off title game Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.
After being down two at the end of the first, the Golden Eagles shot 63 percent from the floor in the second quarter, including a 4-of-6 clip from three, to go into the break up by seven. MU would lead the rest of the way.
Mackenzie Hare had a career-high 25 points and hit a career-high six threes. Jordan King had 14 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Marquette faces Arkansas in the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off Shell Division title game Saturday at 5 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on the Women’s Sports Network.
