About the Teams of the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off
South Carolina, winner of two of the last three national championships, headlines the eight teams participating in the 2024 Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off. This year’s event will be held Nov. 28-30 at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida Southwestern State College.
South Carolina, Iowa State, Purdue and Middle Tennessee make up the four teams of the Island Division and Virginia Tech, Michigan, Belmont and Davidson are the quartet making up the Shell Division. The teams of the Island Division will play two games each against pre-determined opponents while the Shell Division will be a traditional bracketed tournament.
Additionally, it was announced that Elevance Health will continue as the title sponsor of the event, agreeing to a multi-year extension that first began with the launch of the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off in 2022.
